No limit Texas holdem is played with two or more players. When you play only two players it is called heads up but we will only concentrate on traditional no limit Texas holdem which includes six or more players. Most online casinos offer two, six and either nine or ten man tables for Texas holdem games. When you sit down at an online poker table, you will be asked to post a blind. You can either wait for your big blind or post dead. Blinds are the only ones who need to put money into the pot before the hand is dealt. Once the blinds are posted, you will receive two “hole” cards, these cards will determine if you play the hand or not. Having a pair for hole cards is generally considered a good hand. Suited connectors are considered good as well if they are of a higher rank, like the queen and jack of hearts. In no limit Texas Holdem, you can be as much as you like on the strength of your hole cards, you can even go “all in” which means committing all your chips to the hand you are holding. There will be a flop where three cards come out, another betting round, then the fourth round of betting and then the fifth and final card which completes the betting rounds.
